Meet Dr. Christina Bui! She is a fellowship-trained, board-certified foot and ankle surgeon, so when you come to our office, she will be able to address all foot and ankle needs you may have! For starters, we love treating our athletes and getting them back to their desired sports and activities as quickly as possible! Dr. Bui performs lateral ankle stabilizations, fixes torn tendons, arthroscopy of joints, and tendon transfers to correct pathologies like dropfoot or flexible flatfeet. We employ the MLS laser to maximize treatments for a variety of pathologies; you will have access to that high-tech therapy as our patient.
At Howard County Foot and Ankle, she performs minimally invasive bunion surgery, hammertoe surgery, fusion surgeries for joints with arthritis including the metatarsophalangeal joints, midfoot tarsometatarsal joints, and ankle joint! In addition, Dr. Bui also performs flatfoot reconstructions, cavus foot reconstructions, total ankle replacements, and repair of any foot and ankle fracture!
She can also address issues like ingrown toenails, toenail infections, skin and soft tissue infections in the foot and ankle areas, fungal nail, athlete’s feet, soft tissue masses, plantar warts, cysts, etc. We employ Swift Therapy technology, quickly and efficiently addressing plantar warts, which can be incredibly frustrating.
Dr. Bui also has a special interest in limb salvage and routine care for patients with diabetes. She performs wound care with debridements to treat ulcerations on your diabetic feet. At our office, you can also receive screening tests for issues such as peripheral vascular disease, which is often associated with diabetes. Dr. Bui will always point you in the right direction, should you need another specialist on your care team. She values a team-based approach to medicine, which results in the best care for you, our patient.
