Stinky feet could be a sign of infection, poor hygiene, a fungal infection, plantar warts, athletes foot, excessive sweating, tight shoes or socks, or you could have an open wound.
For a variety of problems, thankfully, there are also a variety of solutions. If you don’t have open wounds, baby powder or gold bond powder can help with the smell, anything that absorbs sweat can help. Make sure you are wearing breathable socks. Bamboo and cotton are our go-to favorite materials. Wearing breathable shoes and also changing your shoes is another way to prevent a stench from forming. Here’s a random tip you might not find elsewhere: spray newspaper with lysol and put it in your shoes overnight. Ok, so we’ve covered the basics, but what if you’re still noticing a smell?
